"...Let us lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfector of our faith."
Every Christian is in a race striving to become more like Jesus. Sometimes great strides are being made while running. At other times our pace slows, and we feel as if we are simply on a treadmill.
Despite your location in the race, we believe God has never called you to run alone. God desires us to run alongside one another in relationships that are intentionally discipleship oriented. We all need someone who is praying with us, laughing with us, crying with us, challenging us, and supporting us. We all need to be giving these gifts to others as well. For this reason, we believe North Asheville Baptist is not just a church you join, but a people you belong to!
This idea is the heart of discipleship, and we offer you three specific types of relational environments for you to jump into as you begin running the race with us.
Lifegroups are small gatherings (3-19 people) who meet districtly in homes for weekly bible study, prayer, and fun. These groups meet on a regular basis giving you an opportunity to build lasting relationships with others in our church family who live in the same area as you. Our groups are based around biblical stories that help apply the truth of the Gospel into your everyday life. These groups do ministry together, provide a place of care for one another, and grow as disciples under the Word of God, together. More information HERE.
Through our RECOVERY IN ASHEVILLE ministry, we offer several support groups to help those who are hurting in our church family and our community.
