What an awesome week in God’s word! Â By now, you have read almost the entire gospel of Matthew and the book of Acts! Â You have learned of the royal lineage of Jesus, observed his baptism and temptation, listened to his famous sermon on the mount and his parables and watched him deal harshly with the hypocritical religious leaders of his day.
You’ve also seen the birth of His church, the day of Pentecost, the conversion of Saul of Tarsus and the early struggles of the church to grasp the concept of radical grace.
Your reading has covered a period of at least the first half-century of Christianity…and we’re just getting started! Â I’ve loved the comments here on the blog as well as hallway conversations about how God is using this time together in His word.
Tell us how it’s going! Â We would all love to hear your comments and questions…as well as your struggles. Â We want to help!
Are you behind on the reading plan? Â Use the GRACE DAYS to catch up! Â If you can’t get caught up, just jump in on any day and start there. Â You’ll be glad you did!
Mike Moser says:
Reading today in Mark - and chronologically - sure emphasizes how slow the disciples were to catch on and understand the power and authority of Jesus. Are we as slow to catch on? SURE !! I’m thankful we serve a patient Lord who also gives us many chances.
Lord - please forgive our unbelief and help us to empty us of ourselves and fill us with your Holy Spirit that we may also do incredible things for You and Your Kingdom !
